Jeera Khakra Recipe in hindi | Crispy khakra recipe | Vandana ki Kitchen
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour: 1 cup
- Curd: 2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli: 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon
- Asafoetida: 1 pinch
- Refined oil: 2 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder: 1 pinch
- Milk: as per requirement
- In a bowl, add wheat flour, 1 pinch turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1/2 red chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 pinch asafoetida, 2 tablespoon curd, 2 tablespoon refined oil and mix it well
- Now add milk gradually and mix it well to make dough
- Put some refined oil in hand and apply it to dough and cover the bowl and keep dough for 10 min
- After 10 min, beat the dough to make it smooth
- Break a piece big as a lemon off the dough and roll it into a ball with your hands.Wrap the ball in dry flour, dust off excess dry flour(excess dry flour should not be put on the ball). Roll it with the help of rolling pin with soft hands as per required size
- Khakra should be thinner than chapati
- Now put pan on gas stove and let it warm
- Now put rolled khakra on pan and let it cook on medium flame
- Cook khakra while overturning it and pressing it softly(this will make khakra crispy)
- Cook from both sides till brown spots appears
- Khakra is ready, serve it with pickle
