Easy and quick Matar Masala | Peas Masala Recipe | How to make Peas Masala


Ingredients: 
  • Green pean: 1kg
  • Garam masala powder: 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Refined oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilli: 2 finely chopped
  • Grated ginger garlic: 2 teaspoon
  • Tomato: 2 finely chopped
  • Curd: 2 tablespoon
  • Green coriander: finely chopped
  • Onion: 1 finely chopped
  • Asafoetida: 1 pinch
  • Black pepper: 8-10
  • Cloves: 3
  • Cinnamon: 2
  • Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Dry red chilli: 1
  • Bay leaf: 1
  • Black cardamom: 1

Method: 
  •  Put kadhai on gas stove and let it warm
  • Add 1 tablespoon refined oil and let it warm
  • Add cumin seeds and fry it
  • Add dry red chilli, grated ginger garlic and green chilli
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown
  • Add tomato and mix well
  • Cover the lid and cook tomato for 2 min on low flame
  • Add all whole spices, asafoetida and mix well
  • Add 1/2 turmeric powder, 1/2 red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 pinch garam masala, salt to taste and mix it well.
  • Add 2 tablespoon curd 
  • Cover the lid and cook masala for 2 min on low flame
  • Add green peas and mix it well
  • Cover the lid and cook green peas till it becomes soft on low flame
  • Add green coriander to garnish
  • Matar masala in ready
