Ingredients:
- Urad daal(soaked overnight): 1 medium cup
- Curd
- Roasted cumin seeds
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Refined oil
- Green coriander chutney
- Tamarind chutney
- Red chili powder
- Asafoetida
- Make fine paste of urad daal
- Add 1 teaspoon salt, black pepper
- Nicely beat the urad daal paste to make it fluffy and soft
- Put kadhai with refined oil in it on gas
- Refined oil should not be too hot or too cold for dahi vade to fry
- Add vade to kadhai with hand
- Fry vade to make it golden brown while overturning on medium flame
- Now put vade in an utensil full of water(also add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 pinch asafoetida to water) to make vade more soft
- Cover the lid and keep it for 10 min
- Remove excess water from vada and put it in a plate
- Now add curd, tamarind chutney, green coriander chutney, salt to taste, red chilli to taste, 1 pinch roasted cumin seeds
- Dahi vada is ready
