Ingredients :
- Paneer : 250gm
- cumin seeds : 1 teaspoon
- red chilli powder : 1/2 teaspoon
- turmeric powder : 1 teaspoon
- garam masala powder : 1/2 teaspoon
- green peas : 100gm
- grated ginger garlic : 2 teaspoon
- green chilli : 2 finely chopped
- coriander powder : 1 teaspoon
- onion : 2 grated
- tomato : 2 grated
- salt to taste
- green coriander to garnish
- cinnamon : 2 pieces of 1 inch
- cloves : 3
- bay leaf : 1
- black cardamom : 1
- mustard oil : 2 tablespoon
Method :
- Put kadhai on gas stove, let it warm
- Add 2 tablespoon mustard oil, let it warm
- Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, grated ginger garlic, green chilli
- Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown, turn gas low
- Add tomato and fry it
- Add whole spices
- Fry masala for 1-2 min on full flame
- Turn gas to low and add 1 teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon red chilli, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala, salt to taste and mix well
- Cover the lid and cook masala for 2 min on low flame
- Add green peas and mix well
- Add ½ glass of water , mix well
- Cover the lid and cook peas till it becomes soft on low flame
- Add paneer, mix well and cover the lid and cook for 5 min on low flame
- Matar paneer is ready, add green coriander to garnish and serve hot
