 Ingredients :
  • Paneer : 250gm
  • cumin seeds : 1 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder : 1 teaspoon
  • garam masala powder : 1/2 teaspoon
  • green peas : 100gm
  • grated ginger garlic : 2 teaspoon
  • green chilli : 2 finely chopped
  • coriander powder : 1 teaspoon
  • onion : 2 grated
  • tomato : 2 grated
  • salt to taste
  • green coriander to garnish
  • cinnamon : 2 pieces of 1 inch
  • cloves : 3
  • bay leaf : 1
  • black cardamom : 1
  • mustard oil : 2 tablespoon


   Method :
  •   Put kadhai on gas stove, let it warm
  •   Add 2 tablespoon mustard oil, let it warm
  •  Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, grated ginger garlic, green chilli
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown, turn gas low  
  • Add tomato and fry it
  • Add whole spices
  • Fry masala for 1-2 min on full flame
  • Turn gas to low and add 1 teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon red chilli, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala, salt to taste and mix well
  • Cover the lid and cook masala for 2 min on low flame
  • Add green peas and mix well
  • Add ½ glass of water , mix well 
  •  Cover the lid and cook peas till it becomes soft on low flame  
  • Add paneer, mix well and cover the lid and cook for 5 min on low flame
  • Matar paneer is ready, add green coriander to garnish and serve hot
