MATAR PULAO RECIPE | matar pulao recipe in hindi | easy and tasty matar pulao
Ingredients:
- Rice: 1 glass
- Green peas: 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder: ½ teaspoon
- Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon
- Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder: ½ teaspoon
- Green coriander to garnish
- Cashew: 1 cup
- Refined oil
- Curry leaves: 10-15
- Black mustard seed: 1 teaspoon
- Green chilli: 2 chopped
- Bay leaves: 2
- Cinnamon: 2 pieces of 1 inch
- Green cardamom: 4
- Black cardamom: 1
- Javitri: 1 inch
- Black pepper: 8-10
- Star anise(Badiyan ke phool): 2
- Cloves: 4
Method:
- Put kadhai on gas stove with water in it, now add rice, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 bay leaf, 1 piece of cinnamon, 2 green cardamom, 2 cloves, 2 teaspoon refined oil and mix it well
- Boil rice on full flame
- Turn off the gas and remove extra water from rice
- Put kadhai on gas stove, let it warm
- Add 2 teaspoon of refined oil and heat it on full flame
- Add 1 teaspoon cumin seed, 1 teaspoon black mustard seed, green chilli and all the whole spices, curry leaves, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon red chilli powder and mix it well
- Add green peas, cashews and mix it well
- Add salt to taste
- Cover the lid and cook green peas till it becomes soft on low flame
- Add rice and mix it well
- Matar pulao is ready, add green coriander to garnish and serve hot
